Welcome to the website for Krohne Plant Farms, Inc. Our family has been involved in agriculture, in the fruit belt of SW Michigan, since 1894. We have devoted our time and energy to the production of strawberry and asparagus plants since mid-1970

We will be attending the annual meeting of the North American Strawberry Growers Association this December in Grand Rapids, MI. This years meeting is held a day before the Great Lakes Expo. This is a really good agricultural show for experienced growers.

AC Wendy (Plant Pat. 18,340) Strawberry continues to look impressive with its early start and ability to hold its size. Only growers with the ability to frost protect should grow this berry as it is a sitting duck for frosty nights.

AC Wendy-Plant Pat. 18,340 Earliglow Annapolis
AC Wendy Strawberry continues to look impressive with its early start and ability to hold its size. Our first ripening berry and the sweetest we’ve ever found. Ripens about two days after Earliglow, has large fruit that holds its size throughout the picking season. Berries are light red and very attractive. Flavor is mild, but good. Plants are very winter hardy and have red stele resistance.

Honeoye Itasca- patented Cavendish-patented
Honeoye is a very large, deep red, winter hardy berry that is great for Northern regions. Itasca is a cross between Allstar and Seneca A highly productive variety with large, firm, dark red and glossy fruit

L'Amour-patented Noreaster Mesabi-patented
L’Amour is a new variety from New York that appears to have excellent fruit quality and good to excellent flavor. Noreaster has done very well in Northern growing areas. Starting a few days after Earliglow, this variety yields huge symmetrical fruit with good flavor and aroma. This patented variety from Minnesota is very winter hardy and has good disease resistance.
