Although it has been a poor season for our grapes and many vegetables, it has certainly been good for berry crops. Our nursery plants liked the cooler dry weather we had in Southwest Michigan. Crown size is large and plants look great.
AC Wendy (Plant Pat. 18,340) Strawberry continues to look impressive with its early start and ability to hold its size. Only growers with the ability to frost protect should grow this berry as it is a sitting duck for frosty nights. Albion and Seascape continue to gain in popularity for home gardeners and farm marketers. Albion is certainly one of the best tasting berries we have ever grown.
Thank you for your past patronage and we look forward to supplying your future plant needs.
Yours for a good season,
Bill Krohne
